A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

"Daddy, may I ask you a question?"

"Yes sure, what is it?" replied the man.

"Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"

"That's none of your business, why do you ask such a thing?" asked the man angrily.

"I just want to know, please tell me, how much do you make an hour?" pleaded the son.

"If you really want to know, I make $20 an hour."

"Oh," the son replied with his head down, looking up again and asked, "Daddy, may I please borrow $10?"

The father got furious and sternly said, "If the only reason you asked on you borrowing some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you very well go back to your room and go to bed and think about why you are being so selfish. I work long hard hours everyday and don't have time for such this childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to questioning himself on his son's question and got more frustrated when he think abt it negatively. After about an hour or so, he had calmed down, and started to think that he might have been a little hard on his son due to his preblems at work. Thinking that might be something he really needed to buy with that $10 and he don't ask for money that often.

The man went to the door of the son's room and opened the door.

"Are you asleep, son?" he asked.

"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

"I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier," said the man. "It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $10 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling and shout with excitement,"Oh, thank you Daddy!"

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up notes and start counting it in front of his Dad. The man was shocked and got furious again with his son's actions.

"Why do you want more money if you already have some?!" the father said sternly.

"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," replied his son looking down to the floor.
Then he asked his father again,"Daddy, I have $20 now, can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow, I would like to have dinner with you."

We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spending some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

After reading the email received from a girlfriend, I couldn't help thinking how I might have neglected the important people around me. Feeling sorry for myself, for I failed to be there for getting myself filled with school and work. To them, I am unable to describe this feeling on thousands of apologies of being the unreasonable-self of mine. Please forgive me... I'm sorry...
